Past FCA permissions and consumer protection
- The record is closedCover you already have generally survives the cancellation: FSCS exists for firms that have failed, and the Financial Ombudsman Service can look at a complaint about a firm that has stopped trading, as long as the business was done while it was authorised. New business with this firm has no cover at all, because it is no longer permitted to carry it out.

Permission varied or cancelled on 21 July 2026
The Authority has cancelled the permission and withdrawn the authorisation of Cay Fung trading as BUY4 LESS UK (“the Firm”) of 288 Kingston Road Leatherhead Surrey KT22 7QD. The reason for this action is that the Authority considers the Firm is carrying on no regulated activities to which its Part 4A permission relates. The Authority’s action took effect on 21 July 2026 and a copy of the Notice of Decision issued under Schedule 6A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (the Act), which sets out the reason for the action, is displayed on the Authority’s website and can be accessed using the following link: https://www.fca.org.uk/publication/discussion/gay-fung-2026.pdf As a consequence of this action the Firm is no longer an authorised firm for the purposes of the Act and it may not carry on regulated activities which fall within the scope of the Act.
The Financial Ombudsman Service only publishes complaint figures for firms with 30 or more new complaints in six months, so there are none here for this firm.
